Founded in 1880 by George A McDowall- a Poor Rate Collector for West Ham Council- Mcdowalls has served the property needs of North East and East London-based clients for the last 125years.

Joined by Myles Francis in 1920, the practice expanded considerably under the name of McDowall & Francis to encompass Development, Valuations, Compulsory purchase, sales and auctions. This Growth, at all times, adhered strictly to the professional requirements of the RICS.

Since 1973 Douglas Stratford and been the Senior Partner, and the company continued to expand its core business activities.
